Alejandra Mantiñan have been immersed in tango over the past 30 years. She is generally regarded to have been the pioneer in creating supreme excellence in the execution of the female role in tango.

Alejandra, is one of women who has not only set the standard for her dancing, but also for her intensive research and teaching methods.

She has taken part in almost every important festival in the world. According to a recent survey of the most popular tango magazine,

The Tangauta, Alejandra Mantiñán, is the woman of “the miraculous feet,” and is the most nominated dancer among participants of World tango.( this being a great honor as the judges are her own peers and colleagues)

She participated in more than 20 shows. For 8 years , she was the prima ballerina of the show “Tango Passion”, covering 360 cities worldwide. She was given glowing reviews worldwide, singled out for special mention by the New York Times in the Broadway premiere of Tango Passion.

With Gustavo Russo,( her partner for 15 years,) she currently holds the YouTube tango record of more than 7 million hits.

In 2003 she has partnered with with Gabriel Missé for six years and from 2008 she has danced with such great legends of tango such as Horacio Godoy, Diego Reimer “The Bird”, Chicho Frúmboli, Martin Ojeda, Leandro Palou and Aoniken Quiroga, with whom she has participated in well-known festivals international.
